PortoBene supports active discounters, note buyers, traders, and exporters and their support functions.  It structures, reports and tracks discounted, interest bearing, and floating rate negotiable debt instruments serving discounters, traders, note buyers, issuers and exporters. PortoBene software is comprised of eight modules that can be purchased separately and provides capability for calculations, portfolio management, deposits and asset matching, and security from unauthorized use.

Add-ins are a unique feature of PortoBene, compared with alternative systems, Add-ins allow the customer to specify sophisticated, additional calculations, reports, links to other systems, or screens specific to their needs that can be added, easily and inexpensively.

As an example, the Finance Series Add-in, which contains eight reports, shows a trade portfolio’s impact on the income statement and balance sheet of the organization as a whole. It makes available, as of any date, Book Value and Breakeven figures for fixed and floating rate instruments, as tools for the trader and financial analyst.

It is used in international financial institutions, meets the needs of the Head Office management, the accounting department, the Treasury department, and the Trade Finance operation, supporting a range of deal types.

PortoBene integrates well with other systems. Its 33 reports and data interfaces of note, deal and portfolio data can be exported in Excel, Acrobat, HTML, and XLM formats. The add-in facility provides an economic mechanism for adding special extracts, inputs, reports or other features, to send to other sites or systems.

PortoBene provides all the specialty features used in forfaiting. The same software can also be used for other discounted notes, interest bearing notes, floating rate loans, leases and mortgages.
